Based in East Hampton, Connecticut, Richard Collins is an experienced cybersecurity specialist who joined Cognizant in 2018. He spent four years leading the company’s vulnerability management and vendor risk management program before advancing to the position of cybersecurity architect in 2022. During his time in this role, he has decreased threats to the company’s overall security. He led an initiative to minimize coverage gaps on select devices lacking CrowdStrike, Ivanti, and Rapid7 services with a 100 percent success rate. Richard Collins holds a degree in computer engineering. He maintains a cybersecurity certification through the International Information System Security Certification Consortium (ISC2). In addition to his engagement with ISC2 and professional groups like the Information Systems Audit and Control Association, he is a member of the National Eagle Scout Association and a supporter of nonprofits such as the Connecticut Coalition Against Domestic Violence.
